We're looking for a Backend Engineer to join our engineering team and develop high-performance backend services for maritime operations. You'll ensure system reliability, scalability, and maintainability while driving technical excellence across our platform.
In this role, you'll work with our team in Boston to build robust systems that transform how the shipping industry manages demurrage and laytime calculations.
Responsibilities
- • Develop high-performance backend services and microservices architecture
- • Design and optimize database schemas for performance and scalability
- • Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions
- • Lead technical initiatives and collaborate with the team
- • Mentor engineers and establish best practices for backend development
Requirements
- • 5+ years of backend development experience
- • Strong proficiency in Python, Machine Learning, and API development
- • Experience in data analytics and building data-driven solutions
- • Expertise in database design and optimization
- • Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and services
- • Proven track record of leading technical projects and mentoring teams
