About the Declaration

The Neptune Declaration focuses on addressing seafarer welfare concerns through four key initiatives:

1. Essential Worker Designation

Recognizing seafarers as essential workers with priority vaccine access.

2. Health Protocols

Implementing rigorous health protocols aligned with industry best practices.

3. Crew Rotations

Strengthening cooperation between ship operators and charterers to enable smooth crew rotations.

4. Travel Connections

Improving air travel connections serving maritime hubs to facilitate crew changes.
