Position Description

Burmester & Vogel is seeking a Boston-based Account Manager to manage and grow relationships with our clients, who include charterers, shipowners, operators, and traders. You will be the client's main point of contact for our maritime software, including demurrage and laytime management and our Voyage Management System, making sure they get value from what they buy, renew, and expand.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of client accounts and act as their primary point of contact
• Lead onboarding, regular account reviews, and renewals
• Find and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities with the sales team
• Learn each client's business and workflows, and bring their feedback to the product team
• Coordinate with support and product to resolve client issues quickly
• Keep account records, pipeline, and forecasts current in the CRM
• Prepare client-facing materials, and represent Burmester & Vogel at client meetings and industry events

Requirements

• 3+ years of account management, customer success, or B2B sales experience, ideally with software, data, or research products
• A track record of retaining and growing accounts
• Clear written and spoken communication with senior client stakeholders
• Organized and responsive across a portfolio of accounts
• Experience with a CRM such as Salesforce

Education and Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Maritime Studies, or a related field, or equivalent experience

Desired (Not Required)

• Experience in shipping operations, chartering, or maritime software
